Scope and method

The map de-duplicates repeated statements into distinct propositions. It covers the Ethereum Magicians thread, the EIP specification/history, and the research links supplied in the posts. A node can be a proposal claim, objection, reply, explicit concession, external evidence item, alternative, or unresolved analytical gap.

Edges indicate argumentative function, not truth. “Supports” means the source is relevant evidence for a proposition. “Rebuts” means a recognisable counterargument is made. “Contradicts” marks a direct source tension. “Leaves open” means the linked response does not answer that dependency.

This is a reasoning aid rather than a vote count, peer review, or recommendation on fork inclusion. Some source findings are models or qualitative interviews; their limitations are shown in the source audit and evidence nodes.

Resolution rubric

AddressedA direct response resolves the stated misunderstanding or definition. It does not imply consensus.
PartialA response covers part of the objection but leaves a material premise, empirical question or implementation issue open.
ContestedBoth sides supply coherent arguments, but the supplied evidence does not decide between them.
ConcededThe proposal side explicitly recognises the adverse effect or limitation.
OpenThe issue is recognised but depends on future work or unavailable evidence.
UnansweredNo substantive answer was found in the captured thread or supplied links.
Source tensionA cited source is narrower than the claim made from it, or recommends a materially different package.
